Terms of Service
Last updated October 23, 2026 · Version 1
These terms apply to enviromento.com and to the 3D capture, processing and hosting services of EnviroMento, a sole proprietorship based in Alaska, USA ("EnviroMento", "we", "us"). By using the website, signing in to an account or ordering a service, you agree to them. A written quote or agreement for a specific project takes priority over these terms where the two differ.
1. What we do
We photograph and scan real places, objects and artwork and turn them into 3D scenes (Gaussian splats) that can be viewed in a web browser, a VR headset or AR. We can host scenes for you on enviromento.com, let you add annotations to them, and give you files to keep or host yourself. The details, price and delivery of each project are set out in its quote.
2. Permission to capture
When you ask us to capture a place, object or artwork, you confirm that:
- you own it, or have permission from whoever does, for us to capture it and for the result to be used the way you plan (for example, shown publicly online);
- the people who will be present know about the capture, and you have any consent the law requires from people who may appear in it. We can mask out people and other things you point out, but we can't guarantee that every person, document or personal item is removed;
- the capture doesn't break any law, contract, lease, venue rule or someone else's rights (including copyright in artwork, designs or displays).
We may decline or stop a capture if we believe it isn't permitted or isn't safe. We don't currently offer drone (aerial) capture.
3. Who owns what
- Your scenes. Once a project is paid in full, you own the finished scene files we deliver to you for that project, and you may use, share and host them as you like, subject to the rights of others in what they show.
- Raw captures. We keep the photos, scans and working files we make while capturing and may delete them after the project. We don't sell them or share them with others.
- Our work and tools. Our software, the viewer, this website and our know-how stay ours (or our suppliers'). Delivering a scene doesn't transfer them.
- Our portfolio. We will only show your scene publicly, for example on our SCENES page, with your permission.
- What you need from us. You give us permission to store, process, copy and display your scenes, annotations and files as needed to provide the services, including hosting them and showing them to the people you choose.
4. Accounts
Client accounts are created by us. Keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what's done through your account. We may suspend an account that is misused, at risk, or whose services have ended.
5. Annotations and pictures you add
Where your account allows it, you can add annotations, text, links and pictures to your scenes. You're responsible for that content and confirm you have the right to use it. Don't add anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or private information about other people that you aren't allowed to share. We may remove content that breaks these terms or that we're asked to remove for a good legal reason. If you believe something on our site infringes your rights, email hello@enviromento.com and we'll look into it promptly.
6. Hosting and sharing
- We work to keep hosted scenes available, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Hosting, internet and device problems outside our control can make scenes unavailable for a time.
- Keep your own copy of anything important. Hosted scenes aren't a backup service.
- Scenes are private unless you, or we at your request, make them unlisted (anyone with the link can view) or public. Anyone you give a link or embed to can view, and could screenshot or record, what it shows.
- If hosting ends (for example the plan isn't renewed), we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to download your scenes before removing them.
7. Accuracy
Our scenes are visual representations made from photographs and scans. They can contain gaps, blur, distortion and errors in size and position. They are not surveys or measured drawings and must not be relied on for engineering, construction, legal, insurance, safety or other decisions where accuracy matters, unless we have agreed in writing to a stated accuracy for that project.
8. Payment
Prices and payment terms are in each quote. Unless the quote says otherwise, scenes and downloads are released once payment is complete, and hosting continues for the period paid for.
9. Acceptable use of the website
Don't try to get into accounts or areas you aren't given access to, interfere with the site's operation, scrape it at scale, or use it to break the law.
10. Disclaimer
Except as stated in these terms or a written agreement, the website and services are provided "as is" and "as available", and we make no other promises or warranties, to the extent the law allows.
11. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows: we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities; and our total liability for any claim relating to the website or services is limited to the amount you paid us for the services the claim relates to in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Your responsibility to us
If a third party makes a claim against us because you didn't have the permissions described in section 2, or because of content you added under section 5, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
13. Ending
You can stop using our services at any time. We may end services or close an account if these terms are seriously broken, with notice where reasonable. Sections 3, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 14 continue after an account ends.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, USA. We'd always rather sort out a problem by talking first: please contact us. Any court case will be brought in the courts of Alaska.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. The date and version at the top show the latest. For changes that matter to existing clients, we'll let you know before they take effect.
